Are there scannable forms available for entering my report? Can’t I scan my paper forms?

DEC has not developed scannable forms at this time. Therefore, all reports must be submitted electronically. Scanned paper forms are not considered to be in electronic format. The purpose of the law amendment is to make it easier to extract and compile the report data. The data cannot be extracted from a scanned document or from a PDF. If you prefer to keep paper records in the field, you can type the records into one of the DEC's free reporting options at the end of each day/week/month, or at the end of the field season.
